SUMMERTON - Jerry Franklin Dow, 77, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at his home.

Born on June 20, 1941, in Ozark, Arkansas, he was a son of the late Benjamin Franklin Dow and Georgia Wilkerson Dow. He moved to central California at a young age and graduated from Corcoran High School in 1959. He married Janice Rombo that same year. In 1961, he moved his young family to Sparks, Nevada. He later moved to South Carolina, where he made many more friends and touched many more lives. He enjoyed his family and had numerous adventures hunting, fishing and golfing. His children were truly honored and blessed to call him "Dad."

He is survived by three sons, Steven, Rick and John Dow; a daughter, Pam Ford; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and his partner and companion of many years, Deborah Baker.

A small gathering of friends will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the home, 1584 Hudson Road, Summerton.
