Jessica Sumeha Woods entered this world chosen of God to become a visible rose in his garden on Feb. 27, 1981, in Sumter, to the proud parents of the late Johnny Lee and Carolyn McKnight Woods.

She was educated in the public schools of Lee County. Jessica was loved by many. She was a devoted aunt, sister, and friend.

Jessica Sumeha Woods was called to rest on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter.

Her precious memories will be cherished by her loving sister, Naja Woods (Donovan Mack) of the home; two loving nephews, RaHeem Divine Sadat Mack and Ezekiel Zy'lon Mack of the home; six aunts, Shirley Woods and Annetta (Wayne) Woods, both of Bishopville, Thelma Hodge of Mayesville, Ruby Green of San Diego, Ruth McKnight of Columbia and Rosa Mae Woods of Philadelphia; four uncles, Levi (Mary) Woods of Sumter, Covell Woods and Alexander Woods, both of Bishopville, and Charlie McKnight of St. Charles; a special friend, Sandra Alston of Sumter; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her relatives, Johnnie Lee, Johnson, Melton, Calvin and Willie Mae Gilyard McKnight; Alice, Rhunetta, Geraldine, Bobby, Willie, Olivie, Maxine, Harry Lee and Jessie Woods; and Evelina Bolden.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Mayesville Community Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Ralph W. Canty Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. daily at 130 Woodland Circle, Bishopville, SC 29010.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., Sumter, is in charge of arrangements.
