JESSIE SLATER

BISHOPVILLE - Jessie "Jay" Slater, 84, beloved husband of Rosa Pearson Slater, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2018, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville.

Born in Lee County, he was a son of the late Edmond Slater and Vermell Slater Wilson.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Square Deal Funeral Home Chapel, 106 McIntosh St., Bishopville.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday at St. Mark Baptist Church, 510 Manville-Wisacky Road, Bishopville, with the Rev. Yancey Martin, eulogist. Interment will follow at St. Mark Memorial Garden.
