Many years have passed since Jesus willingly gave his life for each sinner that ever existed.
Each year, two to three weeks prior to Easter, Jesus was revealed to us many times over; his life, in the form of a movie. Though we watched year after year, we waited for those same movies. Most of them we almost knew by heart, but that didn't matter, we waited. We watched because we loved Jesus and we needed to be reminded of his price, his suffering, his pain and his gift to each one of us, "Salvation." It cost us nothing, but it cost him everything.
Now preaching is listed as "These views are not necessarily the views of this station and view at your own risk." What has happened to our country? Where are we going, and what are we doing?
Today is the Sunday before Easter. Not one movie about Jesus has been aired. Why? Are we as a nation so far gone that there is no hope for us? I believe that "With God, all things are possible."
I could have been the one crying, "Crucify him." I could have been the one to drive the nails into his precious body or pierce his body with a spear. I could have been the one weeping at the foot of "Our Lord's" cross.
There was a trail of tears shed that day, much pain, sorrow and, most of all, lost.
"The Light of the World walked among them, and they did not believe in the Light but rather walked in darkness and crucified our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ." Jesus paid our price for eternal life. Life is God's gift to us; the least we can do is to live it. Jesus is our only hope in life.
Our world is beautiful because God created it. However, crime, sin, doubt, unbelief and, yes, even the elected officials, the people elected, are criminals - self-centered, worldly. We cannot trust nor depend on man. God said, "Put your faith in no man." Therefore, we must stand for God, truth, flag and country.
Wake up, speak up, stand up for our beliefs - our faith - our eternal trust and hope "In God We Trust." In God, we will always believe and for God we will always stand, today and forever - Amen!
Jesus is the only light that shines in our world of darkness. Don't leave home without him. Most of all, don't leave this world without him. He is the way, the truth and he is the life everlasting and eternal. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
God was, God is and God will always be in control. Pray, pray, pray!
