JOHNNIE MAE WHITE

Johnnie Mae White, 68, departed this life on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.

Born on Aug. 26, 1949, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Corine White Simmons. She was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and was a graduate of Lincoln High School.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Darrell L. White; a granddaughter, Shouate' M. White; a great-grandson, Kayden Dingle; two great-grandaunts, Lillie Mae Shaw of Sumter and Mary White of Philadelphia; two nieces, Sherrie D. and Theresa S. White, both of Sumter; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter. The Rev. Jackie Jackson officiated, eulogist.

Services were directed by the management and staff of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
