With power out or flickering in parts of town, drivers may encounter traffic signals that aren't working correctly.
According to a tweet from the S.C. Department of Public Safety, if you encounter an intersection with a traffic light that isn't operating properly, follow these rules:
No signal lights - Light should be treated as a four-way stop.
Flashing red - Light should be treated as a stop sign.
Flashing yellow - Proceed with caution only when traffic permits.
