Kyishawn Carl Archie, aka Karter Kenneth Johnson, 20, entered his eternal rest on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.
Born on April 15, 1997, in Sumter County, he was a son of Harrison Johnson and Kim Rene Archie. At an early age, he was baptized at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA. He received his education from the public schools of Sumter County, graduated from Sumter High School Class of 2016 and attended Central Carolina Technical College.
Karter leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Kim Rene Archie of Sumter; his father, Harrison Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina; one sister, Kenyatta Rashida Jackson of Sumter; one brother, Harrison Johnson Jr. of Sumter; three half brothers; three half sisters; one great-grandmother, Lizzie L. Jackson of Sumter; paternal grandparents, Joseph and Maggie Johnson of Neptune, New Jersey; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Ebenezer Presbyterian Church USA, 4620 Queen Chapel Road, Dalzell.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home of his great-grandmother, Lizzie Jackson, 1165 Peppercorn Lane, Sumter.
The funeral procession will leave at 12:20 p.m. from the home.
Burial will be at Ebenezer Presbyterian Churchyard cemetery.
