Chestnut Oaks tops Manning to stay unbeaten

The Chestnut Oaks Middle School girls basketball team improved to 13-0 on the season with a 46-14 victory over Manning Junior High School on Monday at the COMS gymnasium.

Antiyona Roach led the Lady Falcons with 18 points. Quanayzha Pearson followed with 11 and Avianna Johnson had seven.

On Saturday, Chestnut Oaks defeated Furman 34-24 at the COMS gymnasium. Pearson led the Lady Falcons with 14 points, while Roach added 13.

On Thursday, Chestnut Oaks defeated Mayewood 43-19 at the COMS gymnaisum. Pearson led the Lady Falcons with 17 points. Roach added 10, Johnson eight and Kalayah White six.

Bates 39

Mayewood 17

Alyssa Johnson scored 10 points to lead Bates to a 39-17 victory over Mayewood on Monday at the BMS gymnasium.

Alicia Spann added eight points for the Lady Bantams, while Kemarii Stephens had seven and Mikia Harvin six.

Alice Drive 53

Ebenezer 36

Stevye Sinkler and Dayziana McCray combined for 43 points to lead Alice Drive to a 53-36 victory over Ebenezer on Tuesday at the ADMS gymnasium.

Sinkler led the Hawks with 24 points. McCray had 19 and Amaya Coleman had six.

Wilson Hall fell to 12-6 with a 63-60 loss to Northwood Academy on Monday at Nash Student Center.

Natalie Jackson led the Lady Barons with 18 points. Madison Elmore had 16 points and five steals, while Susanna Hutson had 12 points and Courtney Clark eight points.

SUMMERTON - Scott's Branch High School defeated C.E. Murray 61-45 on Friday at the SBHS gymnasium.

Mary Wimberly led the Lady Eagles with 19 points. Chaniya Monroe added 14, while Tonia Lawson had nine and Cambria Parker eight.

On Tuesday, Jan. 16, in Summerton, Scott's Branch defeated Bethune-Bowman 60-39. Wimberly and Teja Madison both had 11 points, while Parker added 10. Lawson and Monroe both had eight.

BISHOPVILLE - Lee Central High School improved to 4-2 in Region IV-2A with a 40-28 victory over Buford on Friday at the LCHS gymnasium.

Robionne Myers led the Lady Stallions with 19 points, six rebounds and four assists. Kendra Lesane added eight points and four assists, while Keoniyah Dennis had eight points, nine rebounds and four blocked shots.

Laurence Manning 38

Pinewood Prep 34

MANNING - Laurence Manning Academy improved to 7-2 with a 38-34 victory over Pinewood Prep on Monday at Bubba Davis Gymnasium.

Audrey Bennett led the Lady Swampcats with 12 points. Bryce Erickson had eight points, 12 rebounds and four blocked shots. Breanna Boykin and Madison Truett both had six points.

On Friday in Sumter, LMA handed Wilson Hall its first loss of the season with a 25-24 victory. Boykin led LMA with 14 points. Peyton Davis had six points, while Bryce Erickson had 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Wilson Hall improved to 13-1 with a 33-20 victory over Northwood Academy on Monday at Nash Student Center.

Gracyn Coker and Abbie Beatson led the Lady Barons with eight points. Owings Holler added six.

On Friday in Sumter, WH lost to Laurence Manning Academy 25-24. Lucy Matthews and Becca Cromer both had five points to lead the Lady Barons.

Crestwood 30

Lakewood 10

Crestwood High School defeated Lakewood 30-10 on Thursday at The Swamp.

Shaniyah Davis led the Lady Knights with 10 points.

SUMMERTON - Scott's Branch lost to C.E. Murray 16-7 on Friday at the SBHS gymnasium.

Tierra Parson led the Lady Eagles with three points.

On Tuesday in Summerton, Scott's Branch topped Bethune-Bowman 28-7. Tiaunna Hunt led SB with seven points. Keonna Felder added six, while Rosandra Bennett and Tyleiesha Gibson both had five.
