Wilson Hall's varsity girls basketball team improved to 16-6 on the season with a 55-27 victory over Heathwood Hall on Wednesday at Nash Student Center.

Natalie Jackson scored 14 points to lead a balanced Lady Barons scoring attack. Courtney Clark followed with eight points, Cameron Duffy had seven and Waverly McIver, Susanna Hutson and Madison Elmore each had six.

Crestwood High School clinched the No. 1 seed from Region VI in the 4A state playoffs with a 47-38 victory over Darlington on Tuesday at The Castle.

The Lady Knights improved to 18-3 overall and finished 7-1 in region play.

Destinee Jamison and Monijah Lewis both had 12 points to lead CHS in scoring. Jamison also had six rebounds, three steals and two assists.

Brittany Epps added 11 points and Jah'Che Whitfield had nine points, five rebounds, two steals, five assists and one blocked shot.

ST. MATTHEWS - Thomas Sumter Academy improved to 8-1 in SCISA Region II-2A with a 65-39 victory over Calhoun Academy on Tuesday at the CA gymnasium.

The 14-7 Lady Generals were led in scoring by Aubrey Stoddard with 18 points. Caetlyn Martin and Josie Reed both had 11 and Sydney Daniel had 10.

TSA plays host to Robert E. Lee Academy on Friday.

Wilson Hall fell to 9-10 with a 52-36 loss to Heathwood Hall on Wednesday at Nash Student Center.

Chandler Scott led the Barons with 14 points. Daulton Dabbs had 10.

Justice Hill led Heathwood with 18 points. Isaiah Caldwell had 14.

COLUMBIA - Grayson Dennis scored 33 points, but it wasn't enough as Laurence Manning Academy lost to Cardinal Newman 81-73 on Tuesday at the CN gymnasium.

Jerrel Kelly added 17 for the Swampcats, who fell to 16-6. Taylor Lee added nine and Jake Jordan had six.

BISHOPVILLE - Lee Central High School finished undefeated in Region IV-2A with a 56-46 victory over Andrew Jackson High on Tuesday at the LC gymnasium.

The Stallions, 20-3 overall and 12-0 in region play, were led by Shykeem Cooper with a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds. DaVeon Thomas and Daequan Thomas both scored 10 points.

DALZELL - Thomas Sumter Academy improved to 10-3 with a 31-27 victory over Robert E. Lee Academy on Wednesday at Edens Gymnasium.

Landon DeLavan led TSA with 10 points while Brandon Burns had eight. Ayden Evers and Louis Wright both had eight rebounds.
