FLORENCE - Lee Central High School's varsity boys basketball team went 2-1 in the Gatorade Turkey Shootout with a 58-34 victory over Hannah-Pamplico on Wednesday at the West Florence High gymnasium.

All-tournament selection Daquan Thomas led the Stallions with 16 points. Daveon Thomas had 11 points and Amadric Mixon had 10.

On Tuesday, LC defeated Conway Christian 75-14. Kaquan Simon led Lee Central with 10 points. Rasheed Wilson, Daveon Thomas and J.J. McCloud each had eight.

FLORENCE - Wilson Hall fell to 1-1 with a 58-50 loss to The King's Academy on Tuesday at the TKA gymnasium.

Greyson Sonntag led the Barons with 12 points while Chandler Scott had 10. Grey Holler, Landon VanPatten and Daulton Dabbs each scored eight.

Tyreek Epps led The King's Academy with 28 points. T.J. Merritt had 14 and Drew Fowler had 10.

FLORENCE - Wilson Hall opened its season with a 47-10 victory over The King's Academy on Tuesday at the TKA gymnasium.

Wise Segars and Evan Hoffman both had 11 points to lead the Barons.

DALZELL - Thomas Sumter Academy opened its season with a 50-26 victory over Richard Winn Academy on Tuesday at Edens Gymnasium.

Aubrey Stoddard led the Lady Generals with 20 points to go along with five rebounds, four assists and three steals. Taja Hunley had 14 points and eight rebounds, while Carmen Silvester had 12 rebounds to go with six points. Caetlyn Martin also had six points.

FLORENCE - Wilson Hall jumped out to a 21-3 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 63-19 victory over The King's Academy on Tuesday at The TKA gymnasium.

Liza Segars was the only double-figure scorer for the 2-0 Lady Barons with 10 points. Waverly McIver had nine and Cameron Duffy had eight. Sydney Jarecki and Susanna Hutson both had seven.

Jarecki had seven rebounds, while Haley Roone McCaffrey and Chandler Patrick both had four steals.

FLORENCE - Gracyn Coker scored 16 points to lead Wilson Hall to a 36-16 victory over The King's Academy on Tuesday at the TKA gymnasium.
