MANNING — Lee Roy Lynch Sr., 83, widower of Beatrice Cline Lynch, died Monday, April 8, 2013, at his home.
Born April 25, 1929, in Lake City, he was the son of the late John Earl Lynch and the late Eunice McGee Lynch Miles. He was a retired U.S. Air Force veteran with 21 years of service, and he was of the Church of God faith.
He is survived by: three sons, Johnny L. Lynch Sr. of Manning, Lee Roy Lynch Jr. of Lugoff and Charlie Lynch of Manning; three daughters, Sheryl Lynch of Stockton, Calif., Ellen Marie Hibbard of Manning and Beverly Hawkins of Sumter; a brother, James Lynch of Orangeburg; a sister, Pat Kelly of Norwich, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen L. Lynch; a grandson, Ethan Lee Lynch; a great-granddaughter, Shania Scott; and two stepchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Broach officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 8210 Moses Dingle Road, Manning.
