Linda Louise Avins O'Neal, 68, wife of Jamie Carl O'Neal Sr., died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at her home.

Born on June 10, 1950, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Delbert Dayton Avins and Louise Williams Avins. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She was the personal assistant to Pat Carson of Designs by Gloria and Pat for more than 20 years. She loved her job and loved traveling with Pat. She owned the Subway sandwich shop in Bishopville for 11 years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melody O'Neal Carter and her husband, Matthew Ian Carter, and Melissa O'Neal Hempel; two sons, Jamie Carl O'Neal II and his wife, Elyse Trummel O'Neal, and Jason Kyle O'Neal and his wife, Kisha O'Neal; grandsons, Jordan Burr, Aaron Burr, Aiden Hempel and Michael O'Neal; granddaughters, Katie Burr and Audri Roberts; a great-grandson, Leo Burr; step-grandchildren, Scarlett Carter, Twila Horton, Ava Carter and Trevor Carter; brothers, Larry Avins (Henrietta) and Glenn Avins; sisters, Debbie Geddings (Rodger), Peggy Britt and Cindy Vaughn (Dave); and many well-loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Annabelle Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with Bishop Lath Harris officiating. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aiden Hempel, Glenn Avins, Jamie O'Neal, Jason O'Neal, Ian Carter and Jordan Burr.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 795 W. Emerald Lake Drive.

Memorials may be made to the Sumter Salvation Army, 16 Kendrick St., Sumter, SC 29150.
