MARCUS A. BROWN
Funeral services for Mr. Marcus A. "Speedy" Brown will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church, 675 S. Lafayette Dr. in Sumter, with the Rev. Michael Miller, pastor, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Cain Cemetery.
A public viewing will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
Marcus was born on March 11, 1964, in Bronx, New York, to Jeanette Holliday Brown and the late Thomas Brown Jr. He departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018, in Sumter.
Marcus is survived by his mother, Jeanette Brown; six children, Tamekia Young, Camiesha Young, Alisha Young, Tamarion Brown, Marcus Brown and Demarcus Brown; four sisters, Denise (Louis) Deschamps, Valerie Brown, Diana Brown and Pamela (Murray) Blanding; brother, Kenyatta Brown; three grandchildren; a devoted friend, Darlene Marshallia; special friend, Stacey Roddick; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
