MARGARET E. DAVIS
Margaret Edwards Davis, 77, died on Monday, May 14, 2018, at National Healthcare Center.
Born in Birmingham, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Ottis Lee Edwards and Constance Harris Edwards. Mrs. Davis was a lifelong member of Mount Zion Presbyterian Church in St. Charles, where she served as youth leader of "Young People" and she was known as "Ma." She was a loving mother, grandmother, and she was known by her family as "Ma-Ma."
Surviving are two sons, Rusty Davis (Kelly) of Anderson and Jay Davis (Julene) of Bishopville; a daughter, Connie Munn (Rhett) of Sumter; and seven grandchildren, Dr. Christopher Davis (Jeri), Jennifer Davis, Erika Collins, Taylor Munn, Elizabeth Munn, Mary Margaret Munn and Will Middleton (Taylor).
She was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Mount Zion Presbyterian Church in St. Charles with the Rev. Fred McDaniel officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, Connie Munn, 1025 Foxridge Court.
