MARTHA T. DARGON
Martha T. Dargon, 84, departed her earthly life on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.
Born on Sept. 20, 1934, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Luther Jackson and Georgeanne Singleton. Her education included a high school diploma and numerous on-the-job required training certifications. She successfully completed a 30-year professional career in the New York City banking industry.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Richard Dargon; two daughters, Linda Carter and Gardenia Dargon; four brothers, George Randolph Goodlett, Deacon Haywood Jacobs, Charles Pollack and David Dargon; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, family members and friends.
The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5565 Old Camden Highway, Rembert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel, Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter, with the Rev. Richard Addison officiating, eulogist.
The funeral procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from the home.
Burial will be at Hopewell Baptist Churchyard Cemetery, 3285 Peach Orchard Road, Dalzell.
