MARY ANN FORD

Mary Ann Ford was born on Sept. 7, 1956, in Sumter County, a daughter of the late William Edward Hilton and Earline Hilton. She departed this life on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018, at Palmetto Health Tuomey.

Mrs. Ford attended the public schools of Sumter County. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving and devoted wife to the late Delgar Sylvester Ford Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughter, Yasmeen (Darius) Stuckey; granddaughter, Brooklyn of the home; five sisters, Willie Mae (Bill) Singleton, Gloria Jean Hilton, Shiveen Hilton, Loutricia Hilton and Margie (Alvin) Reames; three brothers, Michael Hilton, Timothy Hilton and Curtis Hilton, all of Sumter; two uncles, Roman (Cynthia) Hilton and Leroy (Vernell) Hilton of New Jersey; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Brown and Diane Gardner; one brother-in-law, Jeremiah (Geneva) Ford of Sumter; stepchildren, Terry Ford of Miami, Charlene Ford and Darrell (Shaneca) Ford, both of Sumter; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, mother, some sisters, some brothers, and other relatives.

Mrs. Ford will be placed in the church at 9 a.m. today for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 805 S. Harvin St., Sumter, with Pastor Marion H. Newton officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, 850 S. Harvin St., Sumter.
