MARY ANN OLIVER
Mary Ann Oliver, 63, transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.
Born on Sept. 19, 1954, in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Clyde and Margaret Anthony Oliver. She received her schooling in the public schools of Sumter County and her degree in early childhood education from Central Carolina Technical College. In her youth, she joined Antioch United Methodist Church, where she served as an usher and member of the choir.
She leaves to cherish her memories: three children, Monica (Derrick) Sinkler of Columbia, Rashan (Kim) Oliver and Tamara Oliver, both of Sumter; one brother, James Oliver of Sumter; one sister, Margie (John Henry) Jenkins of New Jersey; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 2 and 6 p.m. at the home of her nephew, 2545 Lorentz Drive, Sumter.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Antioch United Methodist Church, 4040 Dubose Siding Road, Sumter, with the Rev. Raymond F. Cook Jr., pastor, eulogist.
The funeral procession will leave at 1:20 p.m. from the home.
Burial will be at Antioch United Methodist Church Cemetery.
