She was born on Jan. 20, 1934, in Sumter County, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary Pollard Howard. At an early age, she accepted Christ and joined Joshua Baptist Church, where she was a member of the usher board, the gospel choir, trustee wives, senior missionary and the first choir for many years. She attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School, Dalzell. She was employed with Person Care of Sumter for 10 years.
She will be greatly missed by her family: Emmett Robinson; daughter, Linda (David) Thomas of Kissimmee, Florida, Anthony (Linda) Robinson and Antonio (Eleanor) Robinson, both of Dalzell, and Henry T. Robinson (Angela Hawks) of the home; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; special niece, Glenda Robinson; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the home, 5140 Peach Orchard Road, Rembert.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Joshua Baptist Church, 5200 Live Oak Road, Dalzell, with the Rev. Eugene G. Dennis, pastor, eulogist.
The remains will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
The funeral procession will leave at 10:20 a.m. from the home.
Burial will be at Joshua Baptist Churchyard cemetery.
These services have been entrusted to the management and staff of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St., Sumter.
