Born on Aug. 17, 1947, in the Paxville community of Clarendon County, she was a daughter of the late Ivory "Buster" Pugh Sr. and Viola Spann Pugh.
The service of remembrance will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 2928 St. John Church Road, Manning, where the pastor, the Rev. Ranzy McFadden Jr., will bring words of hope. The service of committal will follow at the Pugh family plot, located at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Public viewing will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the chapel of Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home with Eastern Star Rites beginning at 6 p.m.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 4 to 9 p.m. at the residence of her brother-in-law and sister, Roney (Margaree Pugh) Simon, 7609 Summerton Highway, Pinewood.
Fleming & DeLaine Funeral Home & Chapel of Manning is in charge of these services.
