The very special volunteers who donate their time and talents to make a difference at McLeod Health Clarendon were celebrated Friday, April 20, during a luncheon at the hospital in honor of National Volunteer Week.

In 2017, these dedicated volunteers together contributed 5,459 hours of their time to McLeod Health Clarendon. The Volunteer Services Department consists of more than 19 men and women who work in almost every facet of the organization including the information desk, transportation, outpatient rehab, surgical waiting areas, radiology, clerical duties, conducting daily patient rounds and much more.

Mayor Julia Nelson spoke to those in attendance about the importance of volunteering and serving others. "We are very fortunate to have so many caring individuals from Manning and the surrounding areas who give so much back to the community through their volunteer efforts. I personally thank you for all they do," said Mayor Julia Nelson.

Volunteers have always played an important role in helping McLeod Health Clarendon deliver quality care to its patients. "There is something very special and unique about each and every one of our volunteers. For all the various big jobs and small tasks they do with their warm smiles and open hearts, we thank them," said Stacy Mosier, Volunteer Services coordinator.
