Born Jan. 11, 1979, in Sumter, he was a son of Dorothy Dale Gibbons Thomas and the late Michael Donald Thomas Sr. He was a 1997 graduate of Manning High School. He attended Limestone College, and he was a member of Clarendon Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother; his brother, Will Thomas, both of Alcolu; three uncles; an aunt; and several cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. today at Clarendon Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Lowder officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Alcolu.
Pallbearers will be Gary Rooffener, Eddie Mathis, Walt Ridgeway, Tim Thomas, Shawn Prescott and Shane Herring.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church fellowship hall and other times at the home of Donald and Jeannie Hardy, 1240 Doral Drive, Manning.
Memorials may be made to the Clarendon County Recreation Department, Junior Golf Program, 411 Sunset Drive, Manning, SC 29102.
