MICHAEL J. CIPOV

Michael Joseph Cipov, 71, husband of Patricia Turner Cipov, died on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at Palmetto Health Baptist in Columbia.

Born on July 27, 1947, in Chetek, Wisconsin, he was a son of the late Joseph G. and Vila Palmer Cipov. Mr. Cipov served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was co-owner and founder of Cipov Enterprises Inc., until his retirement.

Survivors include his wife of Sumter; one son, John Cipov Sr. (Michelle) of Wedgefield; one grandson, John Cipov Jr.; one sister, LuAnn Richardson of Sumter; one brother, Mark Cipov of Elkhart, Indiana; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
