Born and raised in Ball Club, Minnesota, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Vivian Schaaf Hendricks. Millie married and moved to Detroit, where she raised her four children. She loved being around the water and many adventures. She even attempted kayaking at the age of 94. Although she faced lots of adversity in life, her determination and strong spirit always brought her through it. She was always proud of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even her great-great-grandchildren. She loved watching all of them grow and celebrated with them in all of their accomplishments. She loved her family and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She attended Getaway Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Patti Graham and her husband, Steve, of Greer and Reva Johns of Michigan; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her four children, Vivian Holmes, Williams Johns, Nancy Johns and Ed Johns; one granddaughter, Pat Holmes; and one son-in-law, Tom Holmes.
A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday at the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Ahtonen officiating.
The family will receive friends on Thursday one hour prior to the service from 4 to 5 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
