Authorities search for missing mother, 10-day-old baby

Authorities need help in located 35-year-old Kristen Noelle Blackmon and her 10-day-old baby.

Blackmon and her child were last seen on Thursday, leaving a pediatric office in Sumter County. She drives a teal 1997 Pontiac Bonneville with S.C. license plate NV 1310.

According to Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Blackmon called her boyfriend after leaving the doctor’s office to tell him the baby’s check-up went fine and she would see him at home.

However, she nor the baby were at home when the boyfriend returned from work.

The boyfriend told investigators that he does not know what clothing Blackmon or the baby were wearing because he was at work when they left for the pediatric appointment.

Blackmon has brown hair and hazel eyes, and is 5-feet-4-inches tall and approximately 175 pounds.
