MOSES H. GLOVER

Moses Hugh Glover, widower of Ophelia Jones and son of the late Emerald Glover Sr. and Francis Davis Glover, was born in Sumter on March 12, 1940. He departed this life on Monday, Oct. 22, 2018. He attended House of Faith Church. Moses loved baseball, listening to gospel music and laughing and joking with family and friends.

Moses leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Sherry (Richard) Jackson of Sumter; one son, Leon (Ebony) Glover of Lake Elsinore, California; two grandsons, Lee (Nakiya) Glover of Colorado City, Colorado, and Lathon Glover of Lake Elsinore, California; three granddaughters, Megan Blanding and Charnele Jackson, both of Sumter, and Courtney Glover of Yonkers, New York; three brothers, Paris D. Glover Sr. and Pastor Emerald (Charolette) Glover, both of Sumter, and Burl Glover of Augusta, Georgia; three sisters, Bertha Robinson of Rockhill, Rosa Lee (Pete) Robinson of Tallahassee, Florida, and Emma Jane Hudson of Bronx, New York; a special niece who was reared as a sister, Marshall (James) White of Atlanta, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Hubert S. Glover; three sisters, Queen E. Robinson, Francis Washington and Lillie Ruth Glover; and two brothers, James Glover and Willie A. Glover.

Public viewing will be held today from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Glover will be placed in the church on Friday at 10 a.m. for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, 1896 River Birch Drive, Sumter.

Job's Mortuary Inc., 312 S. Main St., is in charge of arrangements.
