Funeral services for Naomi Smith Hinnant will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, at 2:30 p.m. at Palmer Memorial Chapel, 304 S. Main St., Sumter with the Rev. Nate Brock officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church …

Interment will follow in the Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The public may view Friday from 2 to 7 p.m. at Palmer Memorial Chapel, Sumter.
Mrs. Hinnant transitioned on Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at Palmetto Health Tuomey in Sumter.
Born in Clarendon County, she was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. She was the wife of the late William C. Hinnant and was employed at Tuomey Hospital and retired after 23 years of service. Mrs. Hinnant's Christian journey began at Westminster Presbyterian Church (USA) and later was a faithful member at Mulberry Missionary Baptist Church, both in Sumter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded by a daughter, Rosa Lee Hinnant; eight brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include several nieces, nephews, cousins; a sister-in-law, Fannie M. Smith; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
