Sumter police officers are investigating what led to a 33-year-old man sustaining a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to his lower body on Friday.
According to Sumter Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call after 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8 and found the man in a parked vehicle in the 200 block of Rolling Creek Drive.
The man was transported to Palmetto Health Tuomey for treatment.
Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and who might have been involved.
