CHARLESTON - Christine Lynnette Oliver of Moncks Corner and William Turner Brogdon IV of Sumter were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at James Island Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Footman Oliver III of Moncks Corner and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Oliver Jr. of Pinopolis, Mrs. Charlotte Christine Linville of Clarksburg, West Virginia, and the late Mr. Robert Lee Linville of Bridgeport, West Virginia. She is a Doctor of Pharmacy Candidate, Class of 2018, at South Carolina College of Pharmacy, University of South Carolina.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Turner Brogdon III and the grandson of Mrs. Lillis Turner Brogdon and the late Mr. William Turner Brogdon Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Dupree McGee, all of Sumter. He graduated in 2016 from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He is employed by Brogdon Farms of Sumter.

The Rev. Sean Rheume, family pastor of James Island Baptist Church, officiated. The Rev. John Patrick, pastor of Graham Baptist Church in Sumter, performed "The Unity Cross."

Music was provided by Mr. Robert Eugene Caison, pianist; Mr. Asher Michael Overhold, trumpeter; and Mrs. Brooke Clarke Overholt, vocalist.

Escorted by her father, the bride wore an elegant Maribella gown - MoriLee by Madeline Gardner - featuring an A-line, crystal-beaded back and waistline with covered buttons down the back and train. She carried a handheld loose-design bouquet featuring red piano garden roses, red peonies, holiday greenery, Palmetto roses and hints of blush garden roses.

Ms. Kendall Morgan Brogdon and Ms. Rachel Elizabeth Patton served as maids of honor, with Mrs. Jennifer Harrelson Worten as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Alexandra Lee Brimeyer, Ms. Emily James Cain, Ms. Courtney Brianne Dotherow, Mrs. Shelby Ayers Harrelson, Mrs. Olivia Lamb Lowery and Ms. Rachel Noelle O'Connor. Honorary bridesmaids were Ms. Kaci Brooke Linville and Mrs. Megan Frances Payez. Flower girls were Miss Ava Marie Doty and Miss Arabella Rose Hamrick.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Devin Michael Allen, Mr. Julian Shaw Dixon, Mr. Blake Hunter Graham, Mr. James Laverne Lowery Jr., Mr. Matthew Stavrou McMillian, Mr. Stephen Lewis Patrick, Mr. Grant Trotter Shadwell and Mr. Dayton Berkeley Ward. Usher was Mr. Oliver Eugene Harrelson. Brantley Reed Jones and Austin Kane Payez served as ring bearers.

The reception was given by the bride's parents at The Historic Rice Mill in Charleston.

The rehearsal party was given by the bridegroom's parents at The Carolina Girl Yacht in Charleston.

Following a wedding trip to Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Alcolu.
