Patricia, or "Patty" as her loved ones called her, was born in the town of Reno, Nevada, on April 19, 1965. She was the first child, and only girl, of James and Thelma Mowatt. She traveled with her family throughout her childhood, attending school in Niceville, Florida, and Leysin, Switzerland. As an adult, she went on to have two children, priding herself on being a caregiver and a loving mother and grandmother. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, she touched the lives of those who had the opportunity to know her. Her love of music, animals, laughter and her family, whether by blood or not, was a gift that will continue to give long after her passing. Her signature trait of joy, shown through her constant smiling, laughter and unique sense of humor, will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her father, James Mowatt; brother, James "Jimmy" Mowatt; two children, Joseph Mowatt and Veronica Fisk; and four grandchildren, along with numerous friends.
Patty was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Thelma Mowatt.
A memorial service will be held in the Bullock Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday at 2 p.m.
