Phylicia Sad Jones, 25, departed this life on Monday, Nov. 26, 2018.

Born on Dec. 21, 1992, in Richmond, Virginia, she was a daughter of Jacqueline R. Blizzard and Lenny Jones. She attended the public schools of Woodbridge, Virginia, graduating from Garfield High School Class of 2010. While in high school, she participated in various activities. Phylicia was an avid reader and loved urban fiction books. Phylicia continued her education at Central Carolina Technical College. While she was born in Virginia, her South Carolina roots are undeniable. Her maternal family lives in Sumter and she had the opportunity to attend schools in both Columbia and Sumter. At an early age, Phylicia was dedicated back to Christ and always remembered the Christian values which were instilled in her by family.

She leaves to cherish her memories: four children, Imani Denise Jones-Acoff, Lily "Lily Bug" Jones, Kelil Gabriel Jones-Acoff and Davion Dontrell Jones-Acoff, all of Fairfax, Virginia; her mother, Jacqueline R. (Larry) Blizzard of Fairfax; her father, Leonard Jones Sr. of Richmond; three brothers, Antoine (Wegahta) Massingill of Fairfax, Howard "Chip" Quattlebaum II of Sumter and Leonard Jones II of Richmond; two sisters, Lanisha Terry and Melissa Jones, both of Richmond; adopted sister, Gentarra Williams of Columbia; two grandmothers, Pastor Bobbie Massingill of Sumter and the Rev. Harriett Massingill of Hemingway; three uncles, Herbert Massingill III and Russell Massingill, both of Sumter, and Timothy (Lucinda) Burroughs of Hemingway; one aunt, Rolietta (Maurice) Johnson of Hampton; a host of cousins, family and friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 33 Saratoga St., Sumter.

Homegoing services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Congruity Presbyterian Church USA, 3750 Congruity Church Road, Gable, with the Rev. Alphonza Washington, pastor, and the Rev. Alfreda Johnson, pastor of Saint James Holiness Church, eulogist.

Burial will be at Billie-Simon Cemetery, Gable.
