The Sumter County Veterans Association's Veterans Day program will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at the old Sumter County Courthouse on North Main Street. The program will begin at 11 a.m. with Gen. Garrett of the Third Army serving as keynote speaker. Prior to the program, there will be a Veterans Day parade at 10 a.m. on Main Street. The SAFE Federal Credit Union Easy Street Dinner will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16, at Seawell's Banquet Facility, Rosewood Drive, Columbia. This dinner is for members of the Easy Street Club, SAFE members who hold an Easy Street checking account for individuals age 50 and older.
