Summerton man charged with financial fraud in Sumter County

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office charged a Summerton man, 25, with financial theft and fraud on Aug. 29 for allegedly withdrawing money using a stolen debit card earlier that month.
Brian Franklin Anderson, of Rowe Drive in Summerton, is accused of taking a debit card without consent between Aug. 7 and Aug. 8 before withdrawing $236.50 at various locations in the city and county of Sumter.
Anderson is charged with financial transaction theft and financial transaction fraud.
