Sumter City Council to consider final vote on food trucks

Sumter City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. in City Council Chambers, Sumter Opera House, 21 N. Main St., to consider:

• Second and final reading of an ordinance to amend portions of the city's zoning and development standards to make food trucks a temporary use, subject to annual review, in certain districts;
• Final reading of an ordinance to rezone .99 acres at 835 S. Harvin St. from residential-6 to general commercial;
• Final reading of an ordinance to annex 7.12 acres on Old Field Road into the city;
• First reading of a request to rezone approximately 30 acres at 702 N. Main St. from residential-6 to general commercial. A public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. prior to council's vote;
• First reading of an ordinance to authorize two lease agreements with the South Carolina Educational Television Foundation with respect to real property and infrastructure at 18 N. Harvin St.;
• A resolution to authorize a contract for the Manning Avenue and North Main Street Sewer Lining Project; and
• A resolution to approve the acquisition of the temporary construction easement by the city of Sumter in connection with the town of Mayesville Pump Station and Force Main Project.
