Santee-Lynches Regional Council of Government's new executive director, Chris McKinney, will provide an update for the organization during Sumter County Council's meeting on Tuesday.
McKinney, a retired chief master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, joined the COG in October.
The council will also receive its 2016-17 external audit report, conducted by Webster Rogers LLP.
Later, council will consider third and final reading of a request to rezone nearly 6 acres of land at 2020 Loring Mill Road from residential-15 to agricultural conservation so the applicant can construct a personal storage building.
County council will also consider first reading of an ordinance to amend the county's 2016-17 budget regarding the amount of revenues anticipated to be received and to change the amount of funds to be allocated toward the current budget.
In other news, Sumter County Fiscal, Tax and Property Committee will meet at 5 p.m. in County Council Conference Room to discuss the aforementioned 2016-17 budget change; to review a request to amend the Shiloh Community Center rental agreement; and receive a preliminary report regarding the county's 2016-17 external audit.
Sumter County Council's meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday in County Council Chambers, third floor of Sumter County Administration Building, 13 E. Canal St.
