Sumter police looking for man suspected of forging stolen check from daycare break-in

A 22-year-old man is being searched for in connection to a forged stolen check at a local grocery store over the weekend.

Tyler Alexander Leach is accused of forging a check stolen from a North Main Street daycare during a break-in, according to the Sumter Police Department.

Leach, whose last known address is in Woodlawn, Tennessee, was seen getting into a black and tan Ford Expedition after the store clerk refused to cash the check on April 7.

He is described as being 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 145 pounds and having blue eyes.
