Sumter police are searching for a man suspected in a stabbing earlier Thursday.

Patrick Clifton Clark, 49, of the 200 block of Rast Street, is accused of stabbing a 25-year-old woman after an argument at the apartment complex behind the Sumter Mall where they both live, according to the Sumter Police Department.

The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment and is expected to recover.

Clark fled after the incident in a white 2014 Chrysler 300 that has a South Carolina license plate tag of MCP248.

The suspect, a black male, is described as 5-foot-11, weighs about 185 pounds and has brown eyes and black hair.
