Sumter residents are fortunate to live here

Aren't we fortunate to live in such a good, caring town? The articles in The Sumter Item recently remind me of this.

Sheriff Dennis and his team working with the summer Boys & Girls Club to help them become better citizens is such a good thing! Our United Ministries under the direction of Mark Champagne are beginning a housing program for the homeless. Meeting such a need! And, last but not least, the outstanding new Jewish History Center (under the direction of Roger Ackerman and Annie Rivers from the Sumter Museum) has just become a reality for all to see!

All these programs make me proud to live here!
