Sumter Today: Operation Christmas Child kicks off its shoe box drive

Westside Baptist Church is one of nearly 5,000 drop-off locations around the nation for this year's Operation Christmas Child. This week, residents are being asked to donate shoe boxes full of gifts and notes that will be sent to children across the world this holiday season. Samaritan's Purse is the parent organization that partners with local churches to deliver the gifts, and they refer to the shoe boxes as a tangible expression of God's love.
