Thank you to those who made 1912 Bed and Breakfast event a success

On behalf of the Sumter Main Street Society, thank you to all the people who attended our Open House at the new 1912 Bed and Breakfast on Friday, May 18. Additional thanks go to The Sumter Item, Good Morning Sumter and all the people who publicized the event on social media. The cumulative publicity effort led to one of the largest, most successful events we've ever held.

Also, congratulations to our hosts, Tracey and Tommy McLaughlin, the owners of 1912 Bed and Breakfast at 24 Warren St. As a Sumter transplant by choice for over a decade now, I am always pleased when people recognize the amazing possibilities of our town and choose to make it their home. The McLaughlins have gone a step further and taken on the stewardship of one of Sumter's stunning mansions. Main Street Society wishes them well in their new venture.

Main Street Society continues to work with public and private entities to enhance and promote downtown Sumter. We have some exciting projects in the works and look forward to sharing them in the near future. Thank you again for your past and future support.
