THERESA G. TYLER
Theresa G. Tyler, 63, wife of Anthony R. Tyler, was born on April 24, 1955, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late James Otis and Vera Garnett Gibbs.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Teona Y. Tyler; her grandparents, Charlie and Bertha Gibbs; and sister, Vanessa Gibbs.
Theresa departed this life on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, in Sumter.
Theresa leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Anthony Tyler; her children, Anthony R. Tyler Jr., Raven Tyler and Byron Tyler; four grandchildren; her siblings, Arlesa (James), Rampart, Randy (Karen) James, Larry Gibbs and Richard L. (Sonia) Oden; in-laws, Jettie Delaney, Beverly Ealy (Preston), Keith Tyler, Lisa Maxie (Barry) and Sharon Tyler; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and treasured friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Bethesda Church of God, 2730 Broad St., Sumter, with the Rev. H. Albert Sims Jr., pastor, officiating.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family is receiving friends at 1880 Escallonia Drive, Sumter.
