Thomas Lewis Garson Faw, 78, husband of Jerrie Menscer Faw, died on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at his home.

Born in High Point, North Carolina, to the late Thomas L.G. Faw and Rosa Jean Smith, Mr. Faw served in the U.S. Marine Corps but retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Marine Corps League, VFW and Toys for Tots.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Amanda L. Faw of Sumter and Pamela Jo Berard of Dalzell; two granddaughters, Chrishaunda Berard of Rembert and Alannah Berard of Dalzell; a grandson, Wesley Kyle Cail Faw (Devina Bramdeo) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a niece, Ellen B. Clodfelter (Tom) of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; two great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Betty Beck of High Point.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. David Richardson officiating. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends following the service.
