Thomas Sumter cruises past Calhoun 73-38

DALZELL - Thomas Sumter Academy improved to 3-1 in SCISA Region II-2A with a 73-38 victory over Calhoun Academy on Friday at Edens Gymnasium.

The Generals, who had 11 different players score, were led by Dante Linder with 12 points. Mason Warren added 10, while Tyler Millwood had eight points, seven rebounds and five blocked shots.

TSA is 6-5 on the season.

Wells Fleming had 12 points and Bates Felder 11 to lead CA.

On Thursday in Lake City, TSA defeated Carolina Academy 42-33. Eli Kessinger led Thomas Sumter with 12 points, while Linder and Josh Fugate both had nine points.

On Tuesday in Dalzell, the Generals lost to Palmetto Christian 69-49. Linder led the way with 10 points.

FLORENCE - Laurence Manning Academy opened its SCISA Region II-3A schedule with an 83-43 victory over Florence Christian School on Friday at the FCS gymnasium.

Taylor Lee led the Swampcats with 26 points. Grayson Dennis added 14, while Jerrel Kelly had nine, Wyatt Rowland eight and Jake Jordan seven.

SANTEE - Corey Graham had a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds to lead Manning High School to a 63-58 victory over Lake Marion in its Region VII-3A opener on Friday at the LMHS gymnasium.

Darius Williams added 21 points and seven rebounds for the Monarchs, who improved to 10-4 overall. Israel Brown had 10 points.

KERSHAW - Lee Central remained undefeated in Region IV-2A with a 61-41 victory over Andrew Jackson High on Friday at the AJHS gymnasium.

Daequan Thomas led the Stallions, who are 13-3 overall and 5-0 in region play, with 14 points. Torian Wilson added eight points, while Amadric Mixon and Javontae McCloud each had seven.

SUMMERTON - Clarendon Hall improved to 5-1 in SCISA Region III-1A with a 78-74 victory over St. John's Christian on Thursday at the CH gymnasium.

Zyan Gilmore led the 7-3 Saints with 22 points and seven rebounds. Kylic Horton and Tyrese Mitchum both had 14 points and Dylan Way had 13. Kade Elliott had nine points and 10 rebounds.

Wilson Hall improved to 7-4 with a 35-32 overtime victory over Orangeburg Prep on Friday at Nash Student Center.

Evan Hoffman led the Barons with 10 points. Heath Watson added eight.

SUMMERTON - Clarendon Hall lost to St. John's Christian 52-31 on Thursday at the CH gymnasium.

Josh Black led the Saints with 11 points. Jonathan McIntosh had eight, while Joey Carlisle and Justin James both had six.

Matthew Dailey led TSA with 11 points.
