BISHOPVILLE - Tracey Deanne Bedenbaugh, 56, of Bishopville, passed away on Feb. 22, 2018.

She was born on April 16, 1961, in Bishopville, to the late Emory H. and Patricia B. Bedenbaugh.

Surviving are her four siblings, Mike (Mitzi) Bedenbaugh, Cathy (Steve) Ballentine, Tony (Laura) Bedenbaugh and Todd (Beth) Bedenbaugh; and beloved nieces and nephews.

Tracey was employed with Carolinas Hospital System in Florence for approximately 28 years. Since her illness, she had been living in Charleston, as she was required to be close to MUSC, but there was never a day that went by that she did not think of those she loved back home.
We were all blessed to have Tracey in our lives. Her courage, strength and spirit were an inspiration to everyone she knew, and her love of life was second only to her love of family and friends. Tracey had a way of reaching out to people by showing love and kindness, and she was an inspiration to all who knew her. We can count ourselves fortunate to have known and loved her, as we were all touched by an angel.

A special thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff at MUSC Hollings Cancer Center for their untiring efforts during Tracey's treatment this past year. She could not have asked for or received better medical care or emotional support from everyone there. Another thank you to all members of "Team Tracey" and all others who participated in fundraising and those who contributed.

The family has planned a private family graveside service for Sunday with visitation following from 3 until 5 p.m. at the family home, 708 W. Church St. in Bishopville.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be made in her honor: Tracey Bedenbaugh Memorial, MUSC Foundation / Hollings Cancer Center, 18 Bee St., MSC450, Charleston, SC 29425 or use the link of https://connect2.musc.edu/cancer and select Hematology (Leukemia, Lymphoma and Blood Cancers).

We appreciate the numerous thoughts and prayers delivered to Tracey and the family during her illness and now at the time of her passing.

Never take life for granted. Live one day at a time. Enjoy your surroundings with your friends and family, and remember your parents are always watching. God has a plan for each of us.

Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Home is serving the family.
