Gas station armed robber's ID sought by Sumter police

Sumter Police Department needs the public's help in identifying one of four suspects in a convenience store robbery last month.

According to the department, the four men were recorded on surveillance footage robbing the Speedway store on Broad Street at about 9 p.m. on Nov. 29. All four suspects were armed, and an undetermined amount of money was taken, said Tonyia McGirt, public information officer for the agency. No one was injured.

Officers are asking for any information that could assist in this investigation, and a cash reward may be available for details that lead to an arrest.
