WILLIE J. COOK

Willie James Cook, 62, departed this life on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at his home in Lee County.

Willie attended the public schools of Lee County and graduated from Ashwood Central High School, Class of 1976.

At an early age he joined New Haven United Methodist Church.

He leaves to cherished his memories three sisters, Virginia (Isaac) Rufus and Rosa C. Mack, both of Dalzell, and Rachel Gibson of Wedgefield; two brothers, Bradford Cook of the home, John Brunson of Queen, New York; one aunt, Jessie Mae Cook of Dalzell; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the home, 56 Cook Lane in Dalzell.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the John Wesley Williams Sr. Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Home Inc., 821 N. Main St. in Sumter, with the Rev. Raymond Cook Jr. as officiator and eulogist.

The funeral procession will leave from the home at 10:20 a.m.

Burial will be in the New Haven United Methodist Church Yard Cemetery.
