Wilson Hall improves to 5-6 with win over REL

Wilson Hall’s varsity boys basketball team improved to 5-6 on the season with a 52-27 victory over Robert E. Lee Academy on Wednesday at the REL gymnasium.

Graham Van Patten and Daulton Dabbs led a balanced scoring attack with eight points apiece. Jacob Cotton and Chandler both had six.

Gavin Melton led the Cavaliers with six points.

On Tuesday in Columbia, Wilson Hall lost to Hammond 52-25. Grant DeVarona led WH with five points.

ST. MATTHEWS – Thomas Sumter Academy defeated Calhoun Academy 43-14 on Wednesday at the CA gymnasium.

Brandon Burns led the Generals with 10 points. Sammy Kessinger had nine, James Parrish eight and Landon DeLavan and Randall Bock both had six.

On Tuesday in Florence, TSA defeated The King’s Academy 42-12. Burns led the Generals with 10 points. Parrish had seven, while DeLavan and Landyn Stevens both had six.

Laurence Manning 40

Orangeburg Prep 12

MANNING – Laurence Manning opened its season with a 40-12 victory over Orangeburg Prep on Wednesday at Bubba Davis Gymnasium.

Brandon King led LMA with 10 points. Jackson Campbell had eight and Nicky Jordan had five assists to go with four points.

BISHOPVILLE – Wilson Hall improved to 6-4 on the season with a 25-20 victory over Robert E. Lee on Wednesday at the REL gymnasium.

Nathan Harris led the Barons with 12 points. Evan Hoffman added five points, the final five of the game for WH.

CHERAW – Lee Central lost to Cheraw 47=35 on Wednesday at the CHS gymnasium.

Naquan Peeples led the Stallions with 12 points and Daurrion Kelly had 10.
