Wilson Hall invites you to hear Goff

Posted

Wilson Hall has enjoyed being a part of the Sumter community for over 50 years. During that time, the school has grown and prospered, and we are pleased to give back to the community which has been so good to us.

On Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Nash Student Center, we will be hosting Bob Goff as our featured speaker for the eighth-annual Wilson Hall Mission Series.

Mr. Goff serves as the Honorary Consul for the Republic of Uganda to the United States, teaches at Pepperdine Law School and Point Loma Nazarene University and is the founder and president of Love Does, a nonprofit company which fights injustices committed against children.

Mr. Goff is the author of Love Does, a New York Times best-selling book, in which he shares stories about how God works through each of us as we are empowered by Him to love each other well. He is known for his casual humor and pointed stories which evidence God in our everyday lives. His arrival in Sumter is a rare opportunity. Like our four previous speakers, Dr. Ben Carson, Dr. Ravi Zacharias, Mr. Eric Metaxas and Ms. Taya Kyle, Bob Goff promises to teach everyone that love is never stationary; that love doesn't keep thinking or planning, but simply, love does.

Our intention is to provide a program which helps to bring our community together by inviting speakers who offer hope and inspiration for everyone. We invite the entire Sumter community to our campus for this free program and hope that all feel welcomed and embraced by his message. Our doors will open at 6 p.m.
