Bethel AME Church, 219 E. Calhoun St., will hold its Spring Revival Services at 6:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, April 24-25. Worship pastors will be the Rev. Leo Chapman of Ebenezer AME Church and the Rev. Anthony Ford of Springhill AME Church of Dillon. The theme will be "Stirring Up the Gift of God."
Clark United Methodist Church, 2980 Oswego Hwy., invites everyone to come out and join the church for fun, family, food and fellowship on Saturday, April 26, starting at 2 p.m. There will be bingo, and prizes and gas cards will be given away. The Church Women United of the Greater Sumter Area will hold May Friendship Day - "Friends Love at All Times" - at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 1, at Mechanicsville United Methodist Church, 184 Lake Ashwood Road, Sumter. Please bring a friend or two to attend this friendship event as we focus on uniting in the Spirit to do God's work, despite our differences. Also please bring your coins for the Least Coin Offering.
Hearts United, which meets at Bethesda Church of God, 2730 Broad St., announces: Global Kingdom Network. Hearts United will meet from 10 a.m. to noon May 10. SOAR Global Kingdom Network, a network of ministries knit together to advance the Kingdom of God. SOAR GKN's Missions Team recently returned from a mission's trip to Uganda, a country in East Africa. They saw God move mightily as they traveled about Uganda proclaiming the Name of Jesus. The body of Christ was built up, strengthened, and encouraged through their teaching and preaching of the Word of God. Devon Coker, Davis and Kameryn Tyner, and Deona and Segras share will be sharing with us how this trip impacted and changed their lives. You'll receive a greater revelation about what it means to follow Jesus to the nations in your neighborhood and beyond. This event is in partnership with Hearts United Ministries, Dominion Church, Darlington, and SOAR Global Kingdom Network. Refreshments included. All are welcome.
