UDPATE: CLARENDON COUNTY – A Clarendon County man charged with animal cruelty after allegedly shooting a small dog and then posting a video of the shooting on social media was released from jail hours after his arrest.
Noah Blaine Chandler, 19, turned himself into authorities at the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 18. He was released from the Clarendon County Detention Center on a $5,000 personal recognizance bond at 5:56 p.m. that same day.
The charge of animal cruelty is a felony and if convicted, Chandler faces imprisonment of not less than 180 days and not to exceed five years and pay a fine of $5,000.

CLARENDON COUNTY — A 19-year-old Clarendon County man turned himself in to the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 18 on a charge of animal cruelty after he allegedly recorded an incident where he shot a small hound dog and then shared the video on social media.
Noah Blaine Chandler was arrested and transported to the Clarendon County Detention Center. Chandler will have a bond hearing Tuesday evening.
On Jan. 14, the Clarendon County Sheriff’s Office received a copy of a Snapchat video that was posted on Facebook showing a person snatching a small hound dog by its neck out of a dog box on the back of a pickup. That person then threw the dog into a hole and shot it several times. That person recorded the entire incident and then shared it on social media.
The person was identified as Chandler, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
The charge of animal cruelty is a felony, and if convicted, Chandler faces imprisonment of not less than 180 days and not to exceed five years and payment of a fine of $5,000.
