There are two upcoming COVID-19 vaccination events scheduled for Clarendon County within the next few days.

The first event is on Saturday at Manning High School, and the second event is on Tuesday, June 15, at Melina Presbyterian Church.

Adults who are 18 and older are eligible to receive the Moderna vaccine, whether it be a first or second dose, at these events.

According to a news release, the South Carolina Department of Education launched the vaccination initiative Take Your Shot to support local school districts, promoting vaccinations and providing Clarendon County residents with information and resources about the vaccine.

At both events, attendees will be entered to win a new TV, and lunch will be provided while supplies last.

The Pfizer and Janssen/J&J vaccines are available to anyone aged 12 or older, and the Moderna vaccine is open to those aged 18 or older.

The vaccination event on Saturday, June 12, will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 2155 Paxville Highway, Manning, SC 29102. The vaccination event on Tuesday will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 3539 Black River Road, Gable, SC 29051.
